 2002.10 : The Legacy S401 STi version, based on the Subaru Legacy B4 RSK,
was introduced (400 units).
The EJ20 2.0 liter DOHC 16valve two-stage twinturbo engine has been improved by having large-sized intercooler air intake, air duct house, a sports catalyzer and by the tuned engine control unit. Moreover, it has adopted balanced engine parts such as con-rods, pistons, a crank shaft, and a flywheel. The driving performance has been improved by having close-ratio 6 speed
manual transmission, BREMBO brake calipers, stainless steel mesh brake hose, BBS
alloy wheels, 15:1 quick steering gear ratio, exclusive front & rear
stabilizers, pillow ball bush type rear suspension link, PIRELLI P ZERO NERO
tyers, and hard type coil springs.
And it is equipped with leather & ecsaine combination seats, a
exclusive front bumper, a exclusive front grille.
2005.08~11 : Subaru announced the release of the Legacy B4/touring wagon
2.0GT spec. B "Tuned by STI" (600 units). The Legacy B4/touring
wagon 2.0GT spec B "Tuned by STI", based on the 2.0GT spec.
B model, is powered by the EJ20 twin scroll turbocharged horizontally-opposed
2.0 liter DOHC 16 valve with dual AVCS with 280 horsepower (260PS/wagon).
The Legacy B4/touring wagon 2.0GT spec. B "Tuned by STI" features
including STi 18in alloy wheels, lower springs, rear suspension with pillow
ball, front under spoiler, trunk spoiler (B4), dual type muffler, exclusive
seats, and Brembo brake calipers.
 2006.08 : Subaru announced the release of the Legacy B4/touring wagon "Tuned by STI" (600 units).
The Legacy B4/touring "Tuned by STI", based on the 2.0GT
spec. B model with 6MT/E-5AT, is powered by the EJ20 twin scroll turbocharged
horizontally-opposed 2.0 liter DOHC 16 valve with dual AVCS with 280 horsepower
(260PS/wagon). The Legacy B4/touring wagon "Tuned by STI" features
including a STi front under spoiler, a STi trunk spoiler (B4), STi 18x7.5
alloy wheels, STi tuned Bilstein dampers, STi low-down springs, STi front lower
arm bars, a STI front strut tower bar, STi pillow ball bush rear suspension
links, Brembo brakes, STi stainless steel mesh brake horses, the
STi sports muffler, exclusive seats with STi logo, the exclusive 260km
meter, and the STi rear emblem.
