Main features of the BCNR33 Skyline GT-R & GT-R V-spec are :

Engine and Powertrain :
Powering the R33 Skyline GT-R is the RB26DETT engine that boasts outstanding power and torque levels along with superior durability and reliability. This DOHC 24-valve L6 engine is equipped with twin ceramic turbochargers and an intercooler.
The maximum torque output has been increased by 1.5 kg-m to 37.5 kg-m at 4400rpm as a result old various improving, including raising the peak boost pressure of turbochargers, revising the computer control parameters and improving the intercooler.

Body and performance :
The exterior design is characterized by a low center of gravity and a wide feeling, thanks to the treatment of the front bumper, blister fenders and other styling features. And, the R33 Skyline GT-R has adopted a rear spoiler with a mechanism that allows a four-way adjustment of the spoiler angle, a front spoiler and side sill protectors. These parts serve to optimize the aerodynamic balance at the front and rear along with achieving a better Cd figure of 0.35 compare with that of preceding model of 0.40. To improve the cooling performance of the engine, the R33 Skyline GT-R has adopted a front bumper with a large lower grille and a mesh-design radiator grille.

ATTESA E-TS (Skyline GT-R)
The Skyline GT-R adopts the ATTESA E-TS Electronic Torque Split 4WD System that optimally controls the torque distribution to the front and rear wheels according to the driving conditions. Based on a rear-wheel-drive configuration this advanced system can vary the front-to-rear torque split in a range of 0:100 to 50:50.

ATTESA E-TS PRO (Skyline GT-R V spec)
The GT-R V spec model features the ATTESA E-TS PRO System that provides integrated control of the driving and braking forces at all four wheels independently, enabling each wheel to deliver its full performance potential. This system consists of ATTESA E-TS for optimum front-to-rear torque split control, Active LSD for optimum control of the torque split to the right and left rear wheels and ABS. These capabilities combine to deliver optimum traction steering response, stability and braking performance on all types of road surfaces.

Four-Wheel Multi-Link Suspension has been further improved for enhanced performance. The upper link of the front suspension has been changed to a two-arm construction that increases camber stiffness. At the rear, suspension travel on the bound side has been increased for improved tire contact with the road. In addition, the characteristics of the front and rear suspension have been better matched, and stiffness at the suspension attachment locations has been increased. These improvements provide enhanced steering response, greater stability and better feedback of information to the driver.

The Skyline GT-R V spec adopts hard-tuned suspension in which the damping force of the shock absorbers, spring constant of the springs and other characteristics have been specifically tuned to match the car's character.

Yaw rate feedback control has been added to the phase reversal control procedure traditionally used in Nissan's Super HlCAS four-wheel steering system. With yaw rate feedback control, vehicle motion corresponding to the driver's intentions is first estimated from changes in the wheel speed and steering angle as detected by various sensors. At the same time, the vehicle's actual yaw motion is detected by a yaw rate sensor and fed back to the controller for comparison with preprogrammed target values. The controller then outputs a command signal to the actuator to adjust the rear-wheel steer angle.

Brakes made by Brembo are used as standard equipment on all models. ABS control parameters has been revised to provide braking performance.

Interior :
The layout of the instrumentation, control switches and levers has been designed to allow quick and accurate execution of driving operations. Adopted specifically as the front seating system in the R33 Skyline GT-R are monoform bucket seats that assure in excellent driving. All models are equipped with a driver SRS air-bag as standard equipment for safety.
