1967.08 : In 1967, the third generation Bluebird "510" 4-door sedan was intorduced. The Bluebird 1600 SSS is powered by the L16 1595cc SOHC engine with SU twin carburetors that makes 100PS/6000rpm. And the Bluebird 1600SSS adopts the Porsche's synchronized 4 speed manual transmission and strut/coi(front) & semi-trailing arm type/coil (rear) independent suspension.

1968.11 : The Bluebird 1600 SSS coupe was added to the Bluebird line-up. The body is a exclusive design from A-pillar to roof/rear panel, although the body looks similar to the sedan. And, the Bluebird SSS coupe is equipped with the exclusive front grille, exclusive rear combination lamps, and exclusive interior design.

1970. The Bluebird 1800 SSS was intorduced. The Bluebird 1800 SSS is powered by the L18 SOHC 1770cc engine with SU twin caburetors that maks 115 horsepower and 15.5 kg-m of trouque.
